Public by design, for now

Posts, profiles, comments, reactions, and connections in this release are public. Saved posts and your blocked-author preferences are private to your account.

Uploaded files are public and can be opened by URL. Friends-only posts, private messaging, and private media are not available yet. Don’t share sensitive information.

Blocked authors

Blocking filters an author’s posts and profile from your feed and discovery. It is a personal display filter, not a server-enforced communication or access block.

A thoughtful place to connect

• Be respectful. No harassment, hateful content, threats, or exploitation.
• Report suspected scams, impersonation, or harmful posts from the post menu.
• Reports enter an owner review queue; review is not automatic. Avoid personal or sensitive information in a report.
• Never send money or share financial credentials with someone you don’t trust. Gik does not process payments in this release.
